Are we Indians liberalized?

India need more contraceptives for more liberation, eh? Poor thinking and old ideologies; but changing drastically, may change completely. Its not matter of maturity of individuals, but of society. People do everything privately, but society may not approve that or allow that. Our concepts are very old and that is making real problems. In liberalized society, people think in a broader sense and think above constrictions. We have bottle-necks. On the other hand individuals privately trying to be liberalized in their own way, that the society can't afford. So social chaos happening. Its a disaster. Society needs to grow up.

Liberalization means freedom of thinking and freedom in living the way people want.
We are bounded by a large number of unwritten laws in the society. Few of them are helping them to live as a society and giving values to relationships etc. But few others are having very congested scope.
Individual thinking and society thinking are different even if the individuals contributing to the society. Our society is not showing maturity even people in the society are mature.
In India, a girl is not allowed to travel with a boy. So we can’t even assume how a girl can stay with a boy if certain circumstances occurred in life. Here we have reservations for ladies everywhere and that is showing discrimination legally, even we have no discrimination in the 1st line of Indian Penal Code (IPC). There might be various explanations for the reason for reservation. Rather than finding the root causes of issues, we are trying to patch as it is.
Now think beyond law, we have unwritten laws that a girl can’t travel at night alone. Also a girl can’t book room in a hotel to stay one night alone for personal purposes. Girls and boys are not allowed for traveling out of city for a day or two.
We have girl’s schools and women’s colleges there to isolate girls from the society and making a feel that a mixed society is dangerous.
Is our society dangerous? Is our family dangerous?
We have proper education system, legal system etc. So we can educate the society for how to behave and respect each other. Other side of the things is always there. So we have to handle things legally.
What is my concept of liberalization? Let me explain you.
Suppose I and my colleague (girl) want to go for a movie on Saturday, we are free to do that. If we plan for a shopping together in a mall after office, and I plan to drop her at her door stem, it’s our liberty to do so. If I want t do a chit chat with my friend at a coffee bar or any place of our interest, it’s our liberty to do that.
Parents must give a level of freedom to their boys and or girls. But it may not be as wide as German pub culture and or night life culture. Once our boys or girls mature, let them decide the life style the way they want and do not apply much rigid rules such as do this do that or don’t do that etc. Only explain the scenarios of life in front of them. Good and bad impact of things in life must be advised.
Liberalization doesn’t mean that people can break the law. It’s a common sense law but every person is legally bounded to the location they are living. We have bottle necks.
Do not ask questions like “where were you till now?”, but handle things diplomatically.
Remove all inequalities imposed to ladies such as “ladies don’t smoke, drink, etc”. If society allows a man to do smoke, a woman can also do the same.
Security of people is responsibility of government. In a liberalized society, attack on woman, etc will be less. Analyze why attacks on woman is happening?
Liberalization doesn’t mean people can do anything in public. Liberty of one person to express his view points, do his action the way he want, do not let him break the morale.

If a son or daughter is mature, identify them as individuals and give them due respect. Help them to build a strong character, courage, but allow the freedom of thinking, acting etc. If this is happening at home and if they feel liberty, they respect the society.
